The Development And Application Of Building Information Management Sysytem

As one of the top three largest telecommunication operators currently in China, China Unicom Group holds more than3.11million customers throughout the country by mainly dealing in mobile network business of GSM and WCDMA models, fixed-line businesses as well as fixed broadband business. Therefore, based on requirements of enormous users and large business scope, a huge information management platform which could enable staff to conveniently and quickly search and edit company business portfolios, resource distributions and so forth is strongly desired by China Unicom, in order to offer support for daily business processing, operating maintenance and management. Under this circumstance, a set of integrated management information platform which takes building as its basic unit and HTML, JSP, Serverlet, Gis Server, DBMS as its software architecture was thus developed by Beijing Unicom and was dubbed the name "Building System"。Based on this background, this paper elaborates"Building System"from the angle of its birth background, functional requirements, development platform, system architecture, user experience, system functions andmaintenance.
