As China Mobile builds its TD-SCDMA networks by the3(?) and4th construction program, TD-SCDMA network has covered656cities all over the country (including county level municipality). By using the dual mode user equipment, the voice traffic of TD-SCDMA has increased by15﹪-47%with an average rate of20%, while PS service has increased by32%. China Mobile has implemented the G\T divergence strategy, by which China Mobile wishes more subscribers to camp on TD-SCDMA network and initiate services in TD-SCDMA network, thus to increase the overall utilization rate of TD-SCMDA network and decrease the traffic burden of GSM network.This thesis is aimed to improve the ability of data rate and traffic carrying of current network, due to the rapid growing of TD data service. By the research and execution of new technologies such as TD HSUPA and TD HSPA, we successfully raise the TD traffic flow, enhance the customer satisfactions, and ensure the improvement of the entire network’s quality.First, it analyzes the frequency scheduling algorithm, application scope and innovation strategy adopted by current network of HSUPA, which is used to improve the uplink data rate of single user. Then, it analyzes HSPA MX technology indoor, which can increase data throughput by double under the situation of multi-users. Meanwhile, in order to increase the utilization rate of associated DPCH and solve the problem about the limitation of users per carrier, China Mobile has introduced frame division duplex technology for HSPA associated DPCH. In order to provide basis for the large scale application of HSPA associated DPCH frame division duplex technology, we test the supporting abilities to frame division duplex technology of the commercial user equipments, evaluate the influence on current commercial network after starting using frame division duplex technology.This thesis mainly focuses on the research and applications of Foshan’s TD(ZTE) equipments. As TD equipments vary from place to place all over the country, the number of TD commercial user equipments keep rising and the functions become more and more complex, various uncertainties are growing. The research findings of this thesis have gained satisfactory outcome in practical applications.
