Digital Trunking System Project Implementation And Evaluation

Being one of the basic telecommunications services, digital trunking service is different from other public mobile communication services. It is a multipurpose and high-effect wireless Dispatch&Command system, which is applied in usual manufacture, operation, management and dealing with emergency. Domestic equipment manufacturers have been actively participating in the R&D of digital trunking communication system with independent intellectual property, including the GOTA system developed and manufactured by ZTE. Basic telecommunication operators have also applied to do the trial for digital trunking communication networks enthusiastically. Furthermore, with the approval of Ministry of Information Industry (now Ministry of Industry and Information Technology), China TIETONG conducted in Changchun the commercial trial of the GOTA system. Above is the background information on which this thesis (an enterprise project) is constructed.The thesis briefly introduces the basic features and the key technology of GOTA system. And it puts special stress on discussing the network programme and construction plan of digital trunking communication network, introduces the construction management and technology evaluation of base station subsystem in detail, and statistics one-year telecommunication traffic of GOTA. At last, the thesis investigates the mode of management and operation of digital trunking communication system, and also investigates the development method of digital trunking service.Through the research of the digital trunking communication network, the thesis draws the conclusion as follows:the GOTA system has the ability of building the digital trunking commercial network. But the network’s key technology still needs being improved, parts of the service functions are also defective which could not be content with the service needs of large profession users. And also the location service could not be commercialized for the limitation of terminals. Besides, the level of the professionalism and commercialization of the GOTA system still needs being improved. Especially the problems of terminal products in terms of type, quality, accessories and etc. should be solved. And although the market potentiality is great, the market has not been developed into a mature state, the market still needs appropriate guiding, nurturing and exploring. And the functions should be developed and improved according to the market demand.
