With the electronic competition in depth, competition is not only to put forward higher requirements on the basics and overall ability of team members, but to increase higher requirements on the selected processors. Increasingly advocated for low-power, in a variety of designing competition more and more questions need to use the low-power TI’s MSP430MCU to complete. In order to enable students to better learning and mastering knowledge of MSP430microcontrollers, using MSP430MCU flexibly, designing a multi-functional small system of MSP430MCU for students to learn and experiment is extremely urgent.The design of a MSP430microcontroller system car is to aim at the main requirements above and to check the route to achieve its detection. System mainly consists of power supply, in which respectively provides independent power supply,3.3V for the microcontroller and5V for the stepper motors. Motor control section, in which through the PWM wave and stepper motor driver chip to drive the two stepper motors. Test section, it contains a detection circuit which compose of the light-emitting diodes and photodiodes, to achieve testing the trajectory of the car detection, and the results back to the microcontroller is used to adjust the stepper motors, to achieve closed-loop control of system. Display section, which use LCD1602display to show the relevant data for the motion state. Keyboard control section, which we use to achieve the status of the motor’s start-stop and select motion state, makes the whole control operation more convenient. Through simulation by Proteus validates the rationality of the system design. Through these basic studies can help students to learn and master more intuitive knowledge of MSP430microcontrollers, ultimately achieve the purpose of flexibly use of MSP430microcontroller.
