With the progress of science and technology as well as transportation needs,more and more bridges have been built. In order to speed up the development ofbridge information and ensure the safe states of the bridge, it is very essential ofdoing work of the bridge safety monitoring and health assessment. Bridge safetyremote monitoring system uses monitoring equipments which distributed in differentparts of the bridge for data acquisition, preservation, and analysis, to get scientificand accurate result, ensure that the bridge manager can keep abreast of the states ofbridge, timely discover the existence of a variety of security risks and trends, andtake effective measures to protect the safety of bridge. The main content of thisthesis is as follows:(1)Research background and significance of bridge safety remote monitoringsystem is introduced. And the status and development trend of domestic andinternational bridge safety monitoring system is described.(2)According to the bridge safety remote monitoring system functionalrequirements, combined with the actual monitoring content, the overall design andtopology graphs of the bridge safety remote monitoring system are proposed. Thedevelopment platform and the method of building embedded Linux system areintroduced.(3)By using UML tools to analyse the functional requiremnets of data collector,the framework of class diagram is designed. According to the framework of classdiagram, data collection module, net communication interface module, configuresand schedule modules of data collector are achieved.(4)Through needs analysis, conceptual model design and logical design, thehigh effective database of monitoring center is designed. According to the functionaland design requiremnets of PC software, adopted component technology on.NETplatform, the key modules of the bridge safty remote monitoring system includingdata acess module, data acquisition module, data analysis and evaluation module,graph and report module, information management module are developed andimplemented.In this paper, the subject of research and implementation of bridge safetyremote monitoring system, achieves remote monitoring, data analysis, safetyassessment and early-warning function in bridge monitoring center, effectivelymeets the needs of bridge safety remote monitoring. Besides, this implementation can also be applied to the modification of other remote monitoring field.
