VPN (Virtual Private Network) technology utilizes public networks to build private network technology, and adopts encryption and authentication technologies to ensure the internal network data security on the public network transmission. PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) technology is a kind of set standard key management terrace, which can provide key services (e.g. encryption, digital signature) and its necessary key and certificate management system for all the network application.Applying the campus network renovation project of Jiangxi Polytechnic College as background, this thesis deeply analyzes network secure technologies and campus network summary of existing tertiary colleges, and thoroughly analyzes main technologies and feature of VPN and PKI. This thesis applies PKI technology to VPN technology, and designs a campus secure network frame model based on VPN and PKI technologies, which solves the existing secure problem of attacking campus network especially through campus intranet by installing a VPN gateway with PKI certificate.By proposing and implementing the model, we can solve the existing contradictory in tertiary college between software application and server secure transformation. This thesis gives a specific transformation scheme of campus network for Jiangxi Polytechnic College by this secure model. Then, on the server end of Windows server2003, and Client Windows XP operating system, this thesis realizes prototype system of secure network frame model based on VPN and PKI technologys, and then experiments on this system. The experiment indicates this secure network frame model is workable. Meantime, we try to use existing equipments in the transformation scheme, and it saves money in the campus network transformation. Obviously, this secure network frame model has some economical utility value.
