With the development of network technologies, and Internet's widely popularizing, thenetwork play's more and more important role in social development and people's life and work, network application has deeply affected almost every part of modern society, such as politics, economics, culture, etc. Although network technologies changed the style of human being's livesand promoted the efficiency of the work, they also expose serious security weaknesses. Networksecurity has been deeply concerned by nearly everyone of our society. And how to insureconfidentiality, integrity, authenticity and non-repudiation of information has become apredominant task in domain of network security. Through the research for many years, we havefonned a set of Internet security solutionsā€”PKI technology (Public Key Infrastructure) whichhas been adopted extensively at present. The PKI technology makes use of the public key theory and technology to provideinformation security services. The critical parts of PKI consist of the certificate authority, registration authority, certificate server, etc. And certificate authority is the key component ofPKI.Through CA organization, realizing key distribute and certificate authentication, guarantying the confidentiality, authentication, integrity and non-repudiation of the informationtransmission. This paper introduces the theory of PKI and system's structure in detail, analyses functionmodule of PKI system in detail. On this basis, design the system conforms to essential CArelated standards and final system is a secure, fully functional and modular PKI built on J2EEplatform, and adopted many efficient methods to deduce the component of system and raiseworking efficiency.
