With the rapid development of network technology, Internet applications is growingmore and more popular on a global scale. The role of information systems is alsogrowing. A valid library information management software, has the followingcharacteristics: a information management system, effectively carry out informationprocessing, assisted transaction processing and support the decision-making. Namely,the digital library will enable scientific, standardized, reducing the workload of thelibrarians, it will brought great convenience to librarians and readers. It can be said thatthe library management information is the inevitable trend of development.The design of digital library management systems is a system work, we must takeusability, scalability, security, efficiency, and database consistency, integrity, security,etc.into account.This thesis focuses on completing the development of a digital library software. Underthe Windows platform,with Visual Studio C#+SQL Server2000. In order to meet tothe needs of library information management, the system is divided into six modules,each module subdivided into several sub-modules.Then, achieve the function of eachmodule and submodule one by one. Seven tables are designed in the back-enddatabase,these tables stores the fields which various functional modules need, such asreader name,reader number and so on.In the implementation of this program, the first meet is the needs of the user’s query,followed is regularly or irregularly acquired for the Library book storage operations, themaintenance of readers, administrators increase or decrease maintenance, and finallyreader library registration and book registration.Librarian login into the system softwarecould register, modify and delete information in database of book information, readers,administrators, and the appropriate registration for readers to borrow books.
