Wireless sensor network(WSN) involve sensor technology,microelectronics technology,communication technology,which is a cross research discipline. The Wireless sensor network is constituted by a large number of sensor nodes which were arranged in the monitoring area. The sensor nodes form a network through a certain way, and then the monitoring data are passed away to the base station.However,because node is simple and resources limited,more attention should be payed to the energy saving.If the network is arranged in the harsh wilderness environment, a certain degree of robustness need to be designed.The topics of this thesis is based on the Longmen mountain seismic monitoring project.In the project,the sensor network needs to monitor in the harsh-wild environment,so we should pay attation to the energy saving and robustness.Given this special environment,the existing routing protocols can not meet the requirements of this project.In order to slove the problem,we design an energy efficient and robustness routing protocol. Base on the energy balance of the whole network,we calculate the monitoring radius of these sensor nodes.In view of the different radius,the nodes form some cluster whose sizes are different.In the way,the hot spot problem is effectively alleviated.This paper introduce an non-uniform clustering strategy,including routing maintenance and repair mechanisms,which can ensure energy saving and robustness.The simulation results also confirm the improvement in the aspect of energy efficiency and robustness.This paper has achieved the following results:(1)Base on the network deployment, designed a network architecture (2) According to the purpose of energy saving,the paper designed an energy-balance and non-uniform clustering protocol.(3) In order to ensure the robustness of the network,each cluster head select a standby cluster head.(4) redesigned route maintenance mechanism and route repair mechanism.(5)The protocol was simulated by NS2,and have achieved a good result.
