The Research And Design Of Unified Search Center Monitoring System

There are three mishaps in the existing search products. They are simple matchingalgorithm which ignores users’ real search intent; indifference user interface oriented byengineer culture and crippled user experience brought by variety of vertical search.The full-text search engine can be divided into two categories according todifferent sources of search results.One has its own retrival programs, self-built webdatabase and the search results directly come from the database. Google and Baidubelong to this category. The other hires the search engine’s database, arranges thesearch results in accordance with a custom format. Network retrieval system mostlymeets the query by building the database, indexing, implementing search and filteringthe results. It’s difficult to find the information what they want in a short time for thereare a number of repeat or useless result on the search page. To meet users’ need, we canintegrate different types of web search service into a “unified search”. Displaying theresults of enterprise inner searching and outer searching which meet the user’s searchcondition on the same page will “breaking down information barriers”.On the basis of analyzing the actual needs of the project, according to theobject-oriented methods of software engineering, technology applications of WCF andMicrosoftEnterprise Library and so on, this paper analyses the federated search solutionwhich combines the FASE ESP enterprise search and Bing API outer search. The pagerseparately analyses the three levels of FAST layer, service layer, UX layer and designsmonitoring programs to achieve an active monitoring system. The functions contain:1. Realization of monitoring plans (such as monitoring objectives, alert rules)2. Real-time acquisition of performance3. Displaying the status of services and components,4. Generating and sending of reports timely. This is an active monitoring system.
