As computer technic, network communication techinic, intelligent sense organ technic and microchip technic are growing and developing, it makes a good fundament for the development of smart home. But there still have many shortcoming and disadvantage in current Smart Home system. And there is a big blank in intelligent part of SmartHome. In this paper, I have designed a smart home system based on bluetooth and infrared, also designed a prediction algorithm which is used to predict user's action in this system.Using bluetooth and infrared, I have designed this wireless smart home system. This smart home system consists of control part and intelligent part.In control part, I divide family devices into two categories: devices with infrared control and devices without infrared control, and divide control values into three categories: on-off value, intensity value and infrared value.Using these I implement unification control to all family devices.I designed the controllers which control these three control values.on-off and intensity controller controls the on-off value and intensity value, Bluetooth infrared repeaters controls infrared value.Intelligent part consists of user action prediction algorithm and action time prediction algorithm. User action prediction algorithm is used to predict which action will happen in the next. User action prediction algorithm is a prediction algorithm which based on LZ78 and forward study backward prediction. In this algorithm, the study part and prediction part are separated. The dictionary is a bridge between these two parts and make it light coupling. Action time prediction algorithm is used to predict when the next action will happen. Action time prediction algorithm is based on scene description. We can get an very efficient prediction algorithm with combination of user action prediction algorithm and action time prediction algorithm. I also make some experimentation to verify the feasibility and high efficiency.In brief, I have designed a new wireless smart home system, decreased costing and increase performance. I also designed a user action prediction algorithm. This algorithm makes an improvement on the base of other prediction algorithm. If this prediction algorithm is combined with Smart Home system, it will improve the living quality of user in a big step.
