At present, the problem of information security becomes seriously day by day. In this case, the biometric technology based on fingerprint is widely used in the field of identification. High level of security, reliability and stability are all the reasons of this phenomenon. Currently market demand for fingerprint identification products is growing fast. Meanwhile, the authentication needs of some large companies, government departments and institutions have the following characteristics:geographic boundaries, large amount of data and the original business system is very mature. So the problem we have to meet is:How to introduce the fingerprint authentication method into the original business system with Minimal changes and works.For the above survey results of market demand, This paper presents a design and implementation of authentication center based on fingerprint identification. The goal of this system is as follows:Separate fingerprint recognition technology and business systems, make fingerprint verification platform seamlessly integrate into general business systems with the way of component products; provide fingerprint-based authentication services for the original business system. The main content of this paper is as follows:1. Requirement analysis of authentication center based on fingerprint identification, introduce the system’s functional requirements and non-functional requirements in detail. Through the survey and summary of the similar products on the market and general business with the password identification, use Unified Modeling Language to manufacture visual modeling of software systems.2. Design of authentication center based on fingerprint identification including outline design and detailed design. It is divided into four functional modules:matching client, Registry, Server and Console. The system achieves its function with the collaboration and communication between each module of the system. The Console, Registry and matching client all use C/S architecture. The Server achieves the goal of method of remote calls by the Web Service technology. The system uses the three-tier Architecture design concept. Separate the client and back-end database operations to improve the system security. Depart the fingerprint recognition technology and the business systems to enhance the system integration.3. Introduction of implementation and testing of authentication center based on fingerprint identification. With the collaboration and communication between each module of the system, It can achieve the following features:make fingerprint verification platform seamlessly integrate into general business systems with the way of component products, providing the service of fingerprint authentication with1:1and1:N fingerprint modes. System test includes functional testing and performance testing. Complete functional test by the way of articulating a sophisticated password attendance system. The main purpose of the performance test is to get the system response time of once identification with a certain number of users and to obtain the operation of the server with the situation of multi-client. The implementation of performance testing needs the followings conditions:collecting test data and building a multi-client test environment.The authentication center based on fingerprint identification has the followings features:stable performance, quick response, friendly interface and easy to operate. The system takes full advantage of the mature network environments to make the fingerprint recognition technology to a broader range of applications. The same time, this system implements the separation of fingerprint recognition technology and business systems. The feature make the applicability of the system are greatly enhanced. We can see broad prospects for development in the coming future.The functions of authentication center based on fingerprint identification have achieved completely. But there is still much room for improvement in the system performance. For example, search and optimization of large-scale fingerprint database and server load balancing. In addition, interoperability of fingerprint acquisition device is a real problem to be solved.
