The technology for verifying genuineness and detecting counterfeits of products has been playing an important role in modern commerciality. To discover and develop new technology will significantly benefit both in theory and application in this area, therefore help preventing the increasing number of cheating and faking problems in market.A brief review of current technology and application in genuineness confirming and counterfeit detecting is given at the beginning of this paper. Based on chaos sampling, this research proposed a new technology which implements electronic fingerprint into modern robotic system in detecting counterfeits in merchandises. An artificial chaos system was then designed according to this chaos theory. The applicability and efficiency of this system in robotically detecting counterfeits has also been tested and confirmed.The electronic fingerprint generated from the random combination series is unpredictable. The high sensitivity of the system toward parameters makes each of these random combinations series to be characterized as identical as individual fingerprint. Compared with existing bar code veins counterfeit detecting methods, this technology is time-saving, convenient, and low cost, while retains the advantages of bar code veins characters, therefore, it can be easily adopted and applied in large scale.When combined with information platform, this technology can be constructed as a complete system for genuineness identification and counterfeit detection.
