With the development of modern life quality steadily improved, theaccelerating pace of life. The way of people collecting information hasbeen changed. The times of the human’s habit of the dissemination ofinformation only by virtue of the large amount of text, occasionally asmall amount of images for communication in thousands years ago hasbeen ended. Today, we have entered a "video era" led by videoscreen and graphic images. The development of digital technology hasprovided a powerful impetus to the development of digital equipment.The rapid development of digital technology makes the non-linearediting, education technology in E-learning, multimedia videocourseware, digital TV even other digital applications and systems canbe achieved impressive results and mature.Since the born of video, it facing constant changes and evolutions.From the product of standard screen to wide screen or16:9programsbecome more and more diversify, high-definition video programs andthe wide-screen picture articles can been found everywhere,high-definition videos are all of16:9aspect ratio. Different programs indifferent proportions of the TV show, the most important thing is whetherthe essence fit with the application and the real needs. For the differentneeds of audience research by wide screen expression and artisticconception is particularly critical.In this paper, the main line of the description is the process oftraditional film and television screen aspect ratio development. As themain research object, the aspect ratio of standard screen andwide-screen has produced different screen effects and artisticconception, therefore it caused the new methods of the new cameralanguage of video spread and screen expression. While the effectiveexperimental method of user feedback, which further rational to show understanding of the human viewing habits of the wide screen videoprograms and audience psychological analysis and research.The article is divided into five parts. Firstly, it reviews thedevelopment status of the video and the historical changes andimpact of aspect ratio. Secondly, it focus on the screen characteristicsand artistic conception of the wide screen video, make analysis andelaboration, compare and describe the aspect ratio and otherparameters. Thirdly, it report provides an overview of the effect of thewide screen videos expression and audience research, analysis byexperimental studies. Finally, through E-prime, wide screen experimentsoftware, to feedback the user data of analysis, to prove the theoreticalpoint of view.
