The increasing functionality of banking systems results in data coming from variouskinds of software and hardware platforms, with respective data formats, standards andprotocols which limit data interaction, Therefore, it has been quite critical to implement dataintegration based on messaging middleware in order to adapt to informatizational applicationand satisfy the need of information interaction across the company.Taking banking statement management system as an example, this paper focuses onimplementing data integration based on messaging middleware, including:(1) Building up a unified data model via data modeling;(2) Locating back end systems from which messaging middleware gets data, anddeploying data mapping rules;(3) Getting required data from the desired back end systems, i.e. Customer Data Systemand Customer Communication System;(4) Mapping data obtained to metadata following data mapping rules, and then storingdata to messaging middleware.Implementing data integration in banking statement management system based onmessaging middleware can enable data interaction regardless of its distinct data formats, standards and protocols, and therefore lead to information sharing and integration across thecompany.
