The data-sharing between CAD and GIS is a pivotal problem duing the development of GIS technology. Firstlt, there is a great difference between the data models, in addition to the traditional data sharing methods do not consider the questions of the semantic processing etc, all the problem affect the implementation of CAD data and GIS data sharing, so the information becomes some islands and the valuable data resource is wasted. On the basis of the comparison of several methods for the data-sharing between CAD and GIS, the paper proposes the idea of using FME semantic conversion technology to solve the problem of data-sharing. In the case of the basic geographic information data, through theoretical researching and practical verification:the difference between the data models is a major obstacle to the data-sharing between CAD and GIS. So first of all, we should analysis data heterogeneous relationship from this five angles, such as coordinate system, data organization, data structure, topology relation and symbol expresion. Then through the researching of the data standards of this two softwares, establishing a mapping relation table between models. Finally according to the mapping relationship between data, realize data sharing through customizing mapping file on the FME software platform. In addition, this paper also analyze the method to control the quality of source data and target data, so at the same time of realizing data conversion ensuring the availability of data.In this paper, the study help to sufficiently using the data resource, updating the data in time, it promote the technology development of the data-sharing between CAD and GIS.
