With the burst development of high-definition video、 large-capacity upload anddownload、cloud storage and cloud computing technology, the number of broadband usershas greatly increased. The intelligent control of users’ bandwidth of broadband networks ishighly demanded. It has been considered as an effective method to solve the contradictionbetween the large volume of data traffics and the limited broadband resources. It is alsoregarded as a strong strategy to satisfy the demands of self-service adaptation and bandwidthguarantee, and providing differentiated Quality of Services (QoS).This paper is based on the research program from the National Ministry of Science andTechnology: the research of Broadband Application of Differentiation Control System, andthe China Telecom’s Project: the development of broadband intelligent speed products. Anew solution of QoS control on broadband network is purposed in this paper. The solutionprovides the capacity of end–to–end QoS smart control. It’s based on the new ideas of theinternational standard and framework and the existing broadband solutions provided by somecommunication manufacturers and companies.The advantages of this solution are low cost, high effienice and convenience to deploy.Because it can be deployed on the existing network topology, without adding any othernetwork equipments. Futhermore, this paper has studied the Bras interface protocol, whichhelp to solve the problem of equipment interoperability, by reference to internationalstandards and solution provide by the equipment manufacturers. So that broadband resourcescan be intensively operated by the Broadband Network QoS Intelligent Control System. Itprovide users bandwidth guarantee. And Users can adjust bandwidth real-time as needed.Itwill improve the service experience.With my personal work on the research of the project, this paper firstly introduces theQoS control principle of broadband, COA protocol and COPS protocol; then presents in detailthe system of the network architecture, the system architecture, the function modules, theinterface design and the database design, also analyzes the process of the overall speed andthe application speed. This part is the focus of this paper. In the end, system’s function test,part of performance test and existing network test are played, the result shows that the systemcan fully achieve the goal of the overall speed and the application speed, and meet theperformance requirements of the QoS intelligent control for broadband network.The achievements of this paper can be divided into two parts.1、 Adopting multiple QoS control points, working collaboratively, to realize the goals of overall speed and specific service acceleration, and QoS intelligent control forbroadband.It’s based on the existing network topology, without adding any other networkequipments.2、 Research, develop and regulate the interface protocol of Bras with reference tothe international standards and equipment manufacturers, to solve the problem of equipmentinteroperability.
