At present, the distributed denial of service (Distributed denial of service, DDoS) attact is currently still one of serious Internet threat. How do I find out the real attacker, that is,IP tracing, become a more active Internet security issue.Distributed Denial of Service attacks,an attacker can easily forge the source lP address, making the attack carried out by tracing the source address of a DoS/DDos defense in a difficult to solve.COPS Protocol is extendible, it can self-identify, and in no case modify the COPS protocol itself to support different client-specific information. COPS is a common strategy for the management, configuration and implementation created, COPS provides client/server model, the PEP sends a request to a remote PDP, update, and delete information, and then return to PDP decided to PEP.COPS in order to use TCP client and server to provide reliable information exchange.COPS for certification, relay protection and information integrity provides the information level of security.Although a large number have been proposed in the IPv4 environment DDoS tracking technology, but due to huge differences in IPv4 and IPv6,the urgent need for a new type of tracking technology to achieve under the IPv6.In this paper firstly On the existing framework for IP tracking system was changed, making it more suitable for tracking under IPv6 and IPv4 under to avoid the recurrence of the problems, significantly reducing the burden of tracking. At last the simulation results verify the feasibility of the proposed ideas.
