Cloud computing is resulted by the growth of the development of information technology andneeds of the information community. As an emerging technology and business concept, cloud computingcaused widespread concern of the ICT industry in recent years. In the "Baidu Encyclopedia","cloudcomputing" entries has more than3million visits since its inception in December7,2007.Asan emerging use of resources and delivery models, cloud computing has been perceived by academia andindustry to form a more mature service delivery model, making the computing resources become availableto the public service of social infrastructure. It can help cloud computing service providers toreduce costs and improve compatibility of products due to the low cost and opencharacteristics of open source software,so open source cloud computing platform isconsidered to be the trend of IT.OpenStack is an open source cloud operating system, and has beendrawn attention to the industry since its introduction.In this paper, firstly the concept of cloud computing and key technology are introduced,then the cloud computing development present situation are showed from the perspective ofthe government and enterprises,and the status quo of cloud computing in China isanalysed,looking forward to the development prospects.Then the open source cloud computing platformarchitecture and technologies used are introduced (e.g.,hypervisor),and OpenStack for example is describedin detail. As an experiment, a private cloud platform for use in research and internal is installed anddeployed based on OpenStack.As the research and development of OpenStack just started in China, thereare many problems in the installation and deployment process.The problems are aggregated and thesolution to the deployment are given in this article,and the article can be used as the reference of theinstallation and deployment of OpenStack cloud computing platform. The source code of OpenStack’scomputing project is analyzed in this p[aper. A predictable adaptive elasticity of demand for servicescomputing resources system model is presented in this paper at last.
