Recently,with the development of cloud computing data centers,virtualization technology has been widely used.More and more companies or organizations deploy their own applications or services in a virtual machine in the data center and manage the virtual machine as a unit to provide services.This technique has the advantage of virtualization to consolidate servers,improve server utilization,improve business flexibility.However,virtualization technology to deploy data center challenges,namely how to solve the problem of data center network edge communications between virtual machines.To solve the problem of data center network edge communication between virtual machines,the industry proposed virtual switch technology based on SDN,such as the product named Open vSwitch virtual switch.At the same time,with the development of cloud computing technology and information services,optimizing network load balancing data center servers and improving resource utilization has become the most important issue in the data center,the corresponding network service quality management issues are also increasingly becoming the important research direction in the IT field.The open source cloud computing management platform named OpenStack enables a large number of servers to work together to make business deploy easily and to achieve operation automatively and intelligently.However,as a solution soon just launched its network resource management is insufficient and utilization of network bandwidth is low.Its functions for network management such as quality of service can be optimized and enhanced.For the shortcomings of network resource management in the cloud platform,this paper first select a typical open source virtual switch named Open vSwitch as the research object.We study its works based on the analysis of the source code.Then,we introduce OpenStack which is the currently popular open source cloud management platform,and analyze the working mechanism and source of OpenStack's network services project named Quantum.Then,OpenvSwitch's system network behavior in OpenStack were analyzed.To resolve the network performance problems of OpenStack cloud platform,we propose a network service to optimize the solution of OpenStack Quantum project.It is designed by using the SDN technology in OpenStack Quantum.By using OpenvSwitch plug-in agent architecture design in Quantum,we can achieve quality of network service(QoS)management which can manage and control the network traffic across virtual machines in the cloud platform.Finally,we build a test environment of cloud platform,record and analyze the data of the optimized system performance with the QOS function,to verify the advantages of the optimized system in network management performance and resource utilization.
