In recent years, rapid development of technology, through the WLAN, WCDMA and other methods, operators provide Internet access services. WLAN, WCDMA each with distinct characteristics:WLAN as a complement WCDMA, network flexibility and high bandwidth.WLAN business requirements can be achieved anywhere, but the bandwidth is limited.This paper analyzes the WLAN, WCDMA technology characteristics, development patterns and the status quo, combined with the advantages of both, put forward the integration of WLAN and WCDMA. By reading the information on broadband wireless access, and a careful analysis of WLAN, WCDMA, based on their technical characteristics, proposed a wireless broadband access system networking solutions,these solutions are based on WLAN, WCDMA’s. Authors participated in the work of the corresponding Hohhot China Unicom project planning, organizing the implementation of specific projects, and ultimately verify the correctness and rationality of the program.West also studied the convergence of key technologies of heterogeneous networks and reasonable solution, as well as QoS-based switching strategy and the eventual realization.
