Nowadays, as China’s energy requirement increases day by day, the oilfield construction as well as the distribution network of oilfield is expanding constantly, which have add to the burden on the operation task of the power monitor and scheduling work. The physical simulation dish used in the traditional power monitoring work can not adapt to the deveiopment of distribution network, because of the difficulties in updating and maintenance the equipment, so as the operate information and operation data saving and querying. This article introduces the power management and monitoring work in oilfield by using GIS, to Visual Studio.net2008as development platform. Using the Graphical display and analysis of spatial information processing functions of ArcGIS and database service in both C/S and B/S structure, it achieved online operation of distribution network monitoring and management task, and the visualization, automation and information management in power industry. The system witch contains the facility locating, editing, querying, and network services, is proved to improve the management efficiency.
