In recent years, Wireless Sensor Networks has been a rapid development with computer technology, sensor technology, network technology and communic-ation technology growing. It is becoming more and more closely linked with the life of the people and brings more convenience. The human society has also b-een rapid development by the development of wireless sensor networks. With th-e development of human society, the positioning of the person and objects are rela-ted to people more and more closely, and people are more concerned about ho-w located the persons and objects fast precisely. One of the key technologie of wireless sensor networks is the location technology of the nodes. It is in keepin-g with the urgent needs of people in the production of life. So, how to locate the nodes in wireless sensor networks accurately, fast, conveniently and practically be-comes an important research topic.In this paper, on the basis of seeking and referring a large number of rele-vant literature, it itroduced the research background and significance of the locatio-n technology of wireless sensor network nodes. It generalized the research statu-s home and abroad and describes the classification of the localization algorithm i-n wireless sensor networks, and details the typical localization algorithms and syst-ems.LANDMARC is a based on the RFID locating algorithm. It is affected gre-atly by the calculation of the weight, non-line-error, multipath effects and tag c-ollisions. In this paper, it is improved by the neural network algorithm, direct measurement of the size of the signal strength, dropping the error signal in the low probability and the method of not avoiding collisions. With the distance of the unknown node and the beacon node increasing, the error of the signal s-trength will increase, and makes more locating error. In this paper, the RSS lo-cating algorithm is supplemented by the TOF locating algorithm. It provides add itional and more accurate information and makes the RSS less error. The COM-LOC is a locating algorithm with the less than one-hop connectivity between no des. But the other information is discarded as redundant information or error m-essages. In this article, it improves the COM-LOC locating algorithm by using the blind node receives the information of the other blind node. It does not ch- ange the locating performance when reduces the communication overhead.After that it makes these location algorithms improvement, verifies throug-h simulation and makes their location algorithms more accurate fast, and easy to implement. Finally, it designs the hardware experimental platform on the basis of the improved LANDMARC location algorithm and takes the experiments ab-out improved LANDMARC location algorithm with the hardware experimental p-latform. It can be seen that the effect is very good.
