Design And Fabrication Of ECDL And Its Frequency Stability

At present, the laser cooling and trapping atoms, because it can open the understanding of a new field to human, and now it has been used widely in many areas, so has become very popular in science research project, on this project home and abroad have also invested large amount of research funding. Our laboratory using the magneto-optical trap atoms, because the atom laser cooling temperature has a direct relationship with the flaming light intensity and laser lost,the grating external cavity semiconductor which provide laser put forward requirements, in order to meet the atom laser cooling, we improved grating external cavity semiconductor laser and the frequency stabilization system.The first chapter introduce the semiconductor lasers at present, the development situation of the laser cooling and atoms, through the understanding of the historical now and future development tendency, we can put ourself on social trends, and get progress.The second chapter firstly introduces laser cooling and trapping atoms, and introduce using the magneto-optical capture atoms and put principle analysis, as we improve the laser target, then I introduced the principle and characteristics of semiconductor lasers, for provide theoretical basis for improving laser.The third chapter, because laser temperature stability and ease of tuning has a great influence on the characteristics of the output laser of grating external cavity semiconductor lasers, so I complete improvements of grating external cavity semiconductor lasers from the three aspects of the mechanical structure, the laser temperature and currentThe fourth chapter, I combined saturation absorption frequency stabilization and Zeeman frequency stabilization to complete the grating external cavity semiconductor laser frequency stabilization, achieved stability and reproducibility of lasers. Some other frequency stabilization method also been introduced to make the comparison.
