Research Of News Topic Search Based On Ontology

In recent years, the Internet develops rapidly and has penetrated into everycorner of life. The Internet contains a large number of all kinds of news information.The traditional news access methods encounter a great challenge. People entered atime of "information explosion","news surplus" and "lack of news knowledge".General search engines solve this problem to a certain extent. Because of thedynamic characteristic of Web and its scale is bigger and bigger. The index escapesubspace of universal search engine index database continues to expand and itsinquiry interface is also hard to meet inquiry request of the specific users. Thereforethe news topic search engine arises at the historic moment.At present, the Internet has become an important source of news. How to findnews needed from a lot of news website accurately and rapidly has become theprimary goal of the news search engine. In order to realize the target, this paperattempts to add semantic concept to the news topic search engine and tries toenhance semantic understanding ability and inquiry accuracy of search engine byontology and local contexts.The research of professional search engine arises from the news topic searchengine. This idea has a certain effect to the development of professional searchengine. To achieve the above goal, this paper mainly did the following two specifictasks:1. Construct news domain ontology. First of all, introduce the significance andstrategy of constructing news domain ontology and put the thinking of softwareengineering into the construction process of news domain ontology. What’s more,discuss the construction process of domain ontology in detail. More detailed analysisand introduction were given by each step of construction process. The last but notthe least, according to this algorithm, using ontology construction tool protege3.3.1and referring construction method of the other domain ontology construct a simplenews domain ontology.2. Design and implement a news topic search engine. Introduce the function andcomposition module of the system in detail. Provide semantic retrieval model fornews topic search engine. Inquiry expansion method based on ontology and localcontext analysis proposed in this paper will be applied to the system. The inquiryexpansion method focuses on the key technologies of semantic expansion of inquiry expansion and the selection of extended words. Finally analyze experimental resultsand verify validity of the inquiry expansion method.
