Research And Implementation Of Semantic Retrieval Based On Ontology

The emergence of the Internet completely changes our knowledge of the world. and has integrated into our daily work and life. But with the variety of information resources on the network's geometric growth, a lot of useless duplication of information brings the obstacles and unnecessary costs when we choose. How to get the right information with high efficiency from the vast information sea has became a concern. The birth of search engine made us find relief from heavy inefficient manual search, and improve the efficiency of searching information. However, the traditional information retrieval techniques increasingly unable to meet the needs of users because of thev can't understand of the semantics of information resources. Therefore. search technology based on semantic has become a research hotspot.Based on the existing basis of semantic search technology, we do deeply research on ontology-based semantic retrieval, and main tasks are as follows:Firstly, making a study of the key technology that semantic retrieval involves, such as:Collection of Resources. Ontology Construction, Semantic Annotation. Semantic Query Expansion, Query Sort and so on.Secondly, proposing an ontology-based structured query expansion method to overcome the flaws that ambiguity of user's query expression. This method can process user's query terms semantically and use the concept connected graph to expand user's query. For doing these work, the recall and precision of the search have obviously enhanced.Next, designing a results optimization method based on link, so that the users can get the most relevant results to their query intention very fast, and thus to improved retrieval performance.Finally, verifying and analyzing the algorithm. Developing a prototype system which has semantic search function based on Search Engine Development Framework Lucene. Using this system to validate the effectiveness of the algorithms this paper proposedTo sum up, Information retrieval based on semantic has great value whether in theory or in application. The emphasis of our further research will be on the application, evaluation, and employment of the semantic retrieval method to the search engine.
