"Micro-Demoracy" Or "Pseudo-Democracy":a Research On Micro-Blog’s External Democracy And Internal Domination

As As a new form of media that composes great advantages of blog,IM,internet as well as cellphone, Weibo has won more opportunities for ordinary people to express themselves better.With this new equal right,citizens are more enthsiatstic about politics and public events,which in return become a crucial driving force for the promotionof democrocy.Realizsing the fact that more and more people are willing and able to participate in public events with the help of internet,weibo for instance, our governmentare now searching for new ways to manage citizens’ participation in social events, using weibo, it virtually becomes a new power source for the development of "micro-democracy".Massive and thorough discussions have been taken place on the opening platform of weibo among media organizations,government and netizens,all in all,it composes an external picture of "weibo democracy",however, most people neglect the crucial point that all the production of media content happens under the social environment, weibo included.The writer once worked as an intern in Tencent Weibo Content Operating Team from June to September2011. From daily work during that period, plus thorough communication with co-workers, the writer comprehends many details of internal content management of Weibo, which is unknown to the public.Therefore,the writer believes the research of weibo and democracy must be more comprehensive and deep.This article tries to research various blocks that happens in the connection between weibo and citizens, by comparing weibo’s external democracy and internal socila management, using field investigation,interview and participatory observation methods, this article tries to reveal the inner connections among weibo, political democray, freedom and citizen rights from a micro point of view, in order to gain a more rational and clear understanding of them, which is also the original intention of this article.
