| Along with the progress in science and technology and development ofproductive forces, rotational speed measurement technology is widely applied inmotor, automobile, marine transportation, diesel engine, chemical machinery,petroleum industry, metallurgy, etc. The rotational speed measurement is necessary formechanical products’ development and research, test and analysis, quality test, patternappraisal and energy conservation, security and optimized control. Therefore, thedevelopment and production of rotational speed measurement system also representthe modern level of a country’s basic industry and the scientific research.This paper provides an overview of the research and development of torque androtational speed measurement system at home and abroad then makes comparationamong different rotational speed measurement systems in a classified manner; at last,a new rotational speed measurement using radial gratings is proposed, considering theexisting problems occurring in rapid survey during rotational speed measurement aswell as new demands on survey system. This paper proposes solutions for real-timeonline detection of low rotational speed in mechanically-driven system.Equipped with RS-232interface, this system could easily communicate with PC,generate torque and rotational speed dynamic curves through the mass data storage and data processing results in PC.This paper takes FPGA chip EP2C5T144which is provided by AlteraCorporation in Cyclone series as main control chip. Considering the demands of themeasurement system, discusses every module design including mechanical structure,pulse signal regulation circuit, measurement and control circuit, PWM motor drivecircuit and upper computer software. This measurement system achieves the ability ofreal-time measurement, ensuring the accuracy of the measurement results. |
