With the emergence of tall and intensive buildings in cities and the increase of people awareness about fire prevention, fire protection becomes more and more complex. There are many different kinds of fire prevention system which including lots of advanced technology. The development of communication, equipment hardwares and advanced fire prevention theory continuously upgrade the fire prevention system. According to the latest developments of the current fire evacuation, this paper presents an intelligent fire evacuation system and provides a kind of intelligent escaping system set in tall and intensive buildings by using an advanced industrial computer equipments and detection devices.This paper firstly introduces the backgroud of the emergence and development of the indicating system of the current domestic and international fire evacuation. The system is developed by C#in Visual2005of.NET platform and uses ACCESS databas to store the data. This paper mainly describes the operating principle and the communication design of the intelligent fire evacuation system including the basic components of the system architecture and the structure of the communication system between the various parts of industrial personal computer(IPC). IPCs which include a host and multiple slave system are mainly responsible for the management, display relevant information and complete the acquisition and control of the fire signal. IPC and controllers achieves communication through the RS-485, while host and slave communicate to each other via TCP/IP. When compiling the management application software, all current fire, historical fire, fault, shielding and plans will be displayed in the IPC s window and achieve the visual operation. The design makes it possible that achieving both the display of fire information and operation of fire action by software methods.At last, this paper concludes a summary of achievements and shortcomings in the work and makes a prospect of new fire protection system that intelligent fire system will popularize in the city buildings.
