Presently,the consumption of aluminum breaks the record frequently, and the amount of aluminum production has increased dramatically in china because of the rapid growth of national economic and the improving of people’s living standards. Prebaked anode cell is mainly used to produce aluminum, a large part of electric energy are transformed into heat energy in this way, and The temperature of the electrolyte stays high depending on this heat energy. Usually electrolysis can work safely if the temperature of the electrolyte is a slightly higher than crystallization temperature. Therefore, it is significant to save energy by reducing the temperature of the electrolyte.Detection of the temperature of the electrolyte is concentrated on the offline methods, this approach can not reflect the real-time electrolyte’s crystallization temperature, so it plays a limited role in factory real-time control. The design of an embedded online temperature detection system satisfies the need of real-time production.The system acquires the temperature of the electrolyte through thermocouple, the temperature signal transforms into a millivolt analog low voltage signal after conversion of thermocouple. These voltage signals range between0and2.5V via differential input amplifier and filter. The voltage transforms into digital signal after A/D converter,and then stored in FIFO, the signal is read into system’s memory, embedded controller will get the corresponding temperature value by looking up LUT, and maps out a step cooling curve, computes the crystallization temperature.This paper focuses on the research of embedded crystallization temperature detection system of data acquisition, storage and how the data exchanges between FPGA and embedded system. The main finished work of the paper:1) Designing the overall plan of embedded data acquisition and control system.2) Designing the data acquisition board circuit, including designing front-end analog amplifier,filter, A/D converter and FPGA data acquisition circuit.3) FPGA programming, the program is divided into several modules,including AD control module,data acquisition and storage module,the data reading/writing control module and logic control module for LED,relay.
