For decades’development, the knowledge service plays significant role on the major changes in terms of the library management methods. Those changes promote the modern development both in the librarianship and in the information service industry. Meanwhile, advent of the information technology age causes and facilitates the generation of the ubiquitous knowledge environments, which bring new opportunities and challenges to the library knowledge service.Currently, although there are tons of studies of the knowledge service in the world, rare of them were under the ubiquitous knowledge environment. Therefore, this article focused on exploring the library’s knowledge service model in a ubiquitous knowledge environment by a lot of literature research, case studies and other research methods. With National Library of China as example, the article illustrated the library knowledge service under the ubiquitous knowledge circumstance.First of all, the article redefined the theory related to the ubiquitous knowledge and the library knowledge service in order to clarify their exactly meaning and characteristics.Secondly, the article analyzed the current knowledge service model of library, discussed the opportunities and challenges of the knowledge service brought by the ubiquitous knowledge environment, and deeply recognized the library knowledge service under the ubiquitous knowledge circumstance.Moreover, the article explored the library knowledge service model under the ubiquitous knowledge environment and illustrated the model’s positively influence on the ubiquitous knowledge service with National Library of China as example, expecting to provide certain direction to the library knowledge service both in the theoretical and practical aspects.
