Smart Home is dwelling enviroment integrating network communication, comprehensive wiring and automatic control.With society development and science progress,it is developing rapidly in recent years.Compared to traditional household systems,Smart Home does not only have functions of traditional household system,but also provides users with more comfortable and safer,high grade and delightful living space.This Smart Home system is based on Ethernet and ZigBee Technology. ZigBee network between gateway and nodes transmit data, which solves the problems of complicated wiring and poor system stability in traditional wire network.At the same time, Ethernet technology joins Smart Home system andInternet,which makes it possible for users to know situation of house anytime and anywhere.This paper analyses firstly the research status and development tendency of Smart Home and networking technology at home and abroard,and also summarizes ZigBee technology and Z-stack.Secondly it illustrates the hardware and software design for gateway and nodes in a Smart Home system. At last a breif summary and an outlook for Smart Home are given.Gateway of this Smart Home system is based on the hardware platform of LM3S9B96and CC2530. Modules for Ethernet communication, touch screen display and sound and light alarm,and curcuits of power supply,reset curcuit and RTC are configured for the system. The software design is based on ZAP+ZNP framework:ZNP from Z-stack runs on CC2530,and program for tasks except ZigBee communication run on LM3S9B96,based on SafeRTOS system.As for nodes in this system,as an example,this paper illustrats hardware and software design of nodes for temperature measurement.CC2530and temperature transmitter compose a temperature measurement node.Program of temperature measurement nodes is based on Z-stack from TI company, which accomplishes functions including gathering temperature at a fixed time, answering temperature gather order from Gateway, and sending data to Gateway. This design is proved to be feasible by theory proof and test.Smart Home makes house management more convenient and quicker.Users can examine and control the status of house through network everywhere at home, so that the Smart Home satisfies the needs for high efficiency life of people in morden society.
