The report from the China Internet network information center (CNNIC) shows, by the end ofDecember,2011, the scale of Chinese Internet users have passed five hundred million with the number ofnew Internet users increased more than fifty million throughout the year, having four Percentage point upcompared with the end of last year.The scale of China mobile phone Internet users has reached closely tofour hundred million, developing very fast.The development of mobile network boosts the number of cellphone users growth. At the same time, with the big screen and high resolution technology developmentdirection, the visual information communication of the mobile phone media has become a phenomenonworth studying.The visual information communication of the mobile phone media put text, voice, pictures, video, etctransmission method together, with the fusion of many kinds of communication advantage. Despite theinitial purpose of the mobile phone is mainly used for voice calls, which is resort to the auditoryinformation transmission model, but the visual information transmission model has gradually replace itsdominant position. Such a change mainly because that the ever-changing digital technology and the rapiddevelopment of network technology provide the basic and key technical support to the visual informationcommunication of the mobile phone media. Moreover, people’s consumption demand is strong, especiallythe growing visual information demand, and the mobile phone has completely given up the auditoryinformation transmission model as the leading mode. This change has very important practical significance.It mainly spreads visual information to meet the information needs of people in the fast rhythm of modernsociety, and significantly affects the people to change their way to receive information and their readinghabits and the thinking mode etc, taking deep positive and negative effects to the society.This paper introduces the mobile phone media in the process of the visual communication at first, anddefines the related concepts and illustrates the relevant background. The visual information communicationof the mobile phone media has its own characteristics, and overall mainly displays in its portability andpersonalized, general audience, the vivid visual information and comprehensive, effective, convenient, etc.The creation and dissemination of the mobile media visual text is more popular, more interactive and moresharing. In addition, the visual communicating of mobile media spreads more popular and the audience carried the double identity. For the part of the content and the form, this paper analyzes the visualinformation and visual text and the image and symbols of the visual transmission. The visual informationcommunication of the mobile phone media has a variety of forms, mainly as the mobile phone shortmessage and MMS, the mobile phone TV and video, the mobile phone micro blog, the mobile games, etc.Among them, SMS and MMS is the foundation of the mobile media information transmission, and it canconvey the rich visual information. The traditional text and punctuation as text information has changed,and the vivid expression symbols provides a broad building space to visual text. And the emerging mobiletelevision and mobile phone micro blog also have a bright prospect of market, and the pursuit of the bestvisual effect of the mobile phone game is the most direct embodiment of the visual information needs ofpeople.Undoubtedly any kind of media in the process of transmission inevitably appear all sorts of questions,and the visual information communication of the mobile phone media is not exceptional. In itsdevelopment process there are a certain technical barriers, limited by the boundaries of the audience andvisual hegemony and other major issues. So it needs to improve in many aspects, such as steady speed upthe progress of technology to promote the positive spread of the visual information communication of themobile phone media, while attempting to exploit the audience market, improving the public visual cultureaccomplishment. It also needs more from legal and moral ethical aspects to norm its development.Holding the phone and watching them can be seen everywhere in public. People are willing to acceptthis visual communication mode. The visual information communication of the mobile accepted by thepublic will be a kind of inevitable trend. Its spread characteristics, content and methods of transmission anda variety of development problems have to be constantly and deeply discussed and researched.
