At present, ecological conditions of Beijing is in a stable state, but still need to strengthen control measures and improve the security of the urban ecological. In terms of urban ecological construction, ecological security assessment and warning played a macro-control and a supporting role in protection and construction, but the traditional assessment was on the basis of data dispersed, manual calculation and statistical analysis, so there are more limitations and defects. Analysis of the ecological environment construction, supporting guidance and application based on GIS information has become a hot topic of GIS applications. Urban ecological assessment and warning systems makes the ecological evaluation information more readable, intuitive and enhance the efficiency of evaluation. The warning function provides assistance for the decision-making and emergency measures in ecological construction. Therefore, the establishment of the ecological information systems has extremely important theoretical and applied value. This thesis based on introduce the function and characteristic of GIS, gives the basic architecture of enterprise GIS, summarize the current research progress and future trends of both national and international wide GIS research field. The beginning of this thesis introduces the background, research and the meaning of this subject and summarizes the research status of GIS Ecological Applications. The second chapter describes the key technologies of data acquisition and conversion involved in the ecological assessment and warning system, the ArcGIS Server architecture and key technologies of development. The next chapter describes the design goals, as well as the overall design of the Beijing region ecological security and early warning system based on ArcGIS Server, which describes the system functional design, logic and structure design. The next chapter of this thesis described the concrete realization of each subsystem in details, including the indicators subsystem, ecological assessment subsystem, as well as the subsystem of results demonstrate. The final chapter summarizes the full text and proposed deficiencies in the thesis and job outlook. The system proposed a method of regional ecological assessment and warning using GIS technology to address the traditional manual data entry, and proposed a data acquisition and conversion programs, provide analysis and presentation of the ecological situation and achieve the effect of warning.
