In order to improve detection sensitivity of the pyroelectric sensor and broaden the scopeof traditional use of the sensor, this paper presents a new applied method based on dynamicpyroelectric infrared sensor, which can found the body target and coordinates. This methodgreatly expanded the detection range of pyroelectric infrared sensor, which can accuratelydetermine the direction of the target according to the waveform, deduce the distance fromexperience. The system uses a pyroelectric infrared sensor as a detector, innovatively use ofinfrared lens to replace the traditional Fresnel lenses. MCU records the original infraredwaveform of measurement area (if the environment keeps changeless in a long time thewaveform will have a certain basic rules); once the body target walks into the measurementarea it will lead to changes the original law, and the microcontroller will obtain direction,distance and other results according the use of inter-frame difference method. With thetraditional use of pyroelectric sensor, the method has some new feather such as fast response,detection sensitivity, wide detection range, direction measure and distance measure. Itsignificantly broadens the use range of the pyroelectric sensor, and further strengthens itsapplication in security and smart Home system.
