At present, the conventional digital weather radar, with a large quantity and wide distribution.In some war zone (region), the radar detection range has reached mutual convergence in 100 km distance circle, which is the material basis for digital weather radar group networking observation and for monitor large scope of the weather changes closely. Digital weather radar can carry out quantitative measurement of precipitation target and digital processing. Although the technology is advanced and function is powerful, however, in the using process, with the aging and replacement of devices, its technical parameters will change due to various reasons. With the change of technical parameters, echo intensity was very different, even on the same target. Different wavelengths and different technical state of the weather radar often give conflicting target strength report for the same storm.This research, with the embedded control system as the control core, focus on Linux, qt platform transplantation, the x-band frequency synthesizer, zero frequency difference measurement technology, low frequency modulation signal generator, microwave amplitude stabilization components, demodulation measuring unit of video signal stability, peak power measurement units, program-controlled attenuation control unit, and IF Tracer techniques. The main research work can be summarized as follows:1. After reading many of the relevant literature and research about Radar integrated test bed at home and abroad, the author, combining user’s needs with practical problems, completed the overall program of x band weather radar.2. Choose S3C2410 embedded system, design and set up a related and complete set of controlling circuit and data acquisition circuit, as control core of the svstem.3. Transplantation of the embedded system uboot, linux2.6.15 kernel, yafs2 file system, etc4. Designed frequency synthesizer unit, amplitude stabilization circuit units, frequency measurement circuit units, intermediate frequency the instrument unit, IF Tracer unit, modulation signal unit, man-machine interface unit, etc.There is a numerous number of weather radar in our army. As various kinds of uncertain factors in using, this paper’s research achievements have achieved satisfactory result in practical application.
