Intelligent home is an important application of wireless sensor network. This paper completes a remote wireless acquisition and control system based on ZIGBEE and GPRS. As the development of the information technology and the new technologies for M2M, MENMS,SOC etc, more and more innovative ideas and solutions are applied to the field of traditional smart home system filed. Therefore, this study has great practical significance.This paper designs and implements a system which can connect the WSN system with Internet system based on ZIGBEE module (XBee-PRO ZB) and GPRS module (SIM900). The system is a cluster network and includes environment monitoring sensors, intelligent appliances, terminal acquisition and control node, family gateway and data display platform.In this paper, energy-saving mechanism of the smart home system has made an in-depth study. Along with the images and video to be the transfer destination, terminal acquisition node needs to deal with large amounts of data. Different from the majority of sensor network energy conservation studies only focus on the communication module, this article made a detailed study of energy conservation of the microprocessor module. And different form most studies design low-power management strategies from the perspective of routing protocols, use a sub-module power supply mechanism. The design of the power supply module is divided into a DC power supply, solar-powered and battery-powered. Three power supply can be automatically converted according to the working environment of the system. The whole system not only can do environmental data acquisition, display, but also can remotely query and control, the experiment show a good remote alarming and control ability. The control system includes manually control mode and automatically control mode. In the process of the design of hardware and software, we supplied efficiency analysis and propose solutions.A novel Energy-efficient scheduling algorithm (EESA) was introduced. Cluster head arranged the work intensity according to residual energy of the nodes. System simulation and theoretical analysis were made to evaluate the performance of EESA. The results show that EESA is energy efficient and has a good detection capability.
