With the continuous development and popularization of the Internet, the phenomenon of using network teaching platform for distance education and conventional teaching in colleges and universities are also increasingly common. The same time, due to the increase of learners and the teaching resource on the Internet. Network teaching platform for teaching encountered the following questions:Firstly, before the development of teaching platform, Program developers do not have the appropriate resources Media Design. Secondly, use the traditional file storage system to store large amounts of teaching resources. It will reduce the performance and availability of the whole system.In order to solve the problem of resource media design on network teaching platform, we first select some model of media design (including the ACTIONS model, analyze and evaluate the design model of the teaching function of the media, media analysis and selection of three-dimensional model), combined with the characteristic of network teaching platform, propose a new media design model based on network teaching platform, and according to the new model to design the resources media of the network teaching platformOn the other hand, for the vast majority of network teaching platform using the traditional file system to store and manage the massive teaching resources. It has a lot of problems such as:system availability, scalability, reliability of data transmission, as well as file read and write performance. By the research of several distributed file system which had been used of high frequency (MFS, GFS, etc.), combined with the characteristics of the teaching resources to a distributed file system storage architecture model NEFS network teaching system files operating performance and reliability.
