| With the traditional family life and entertainment transformation, the whole network emerge the new data types,for example Voice data、Video data and so on.The emergence of these new data types have new requirements for network transmission,such as low transmission delay, low data package loss rate and so on. And then the Qos technology came into being, Qos is the ability of network element to have some level of assurance that its data traffic and service requirements can be satisfied. And ATMQos is one guaranteed Qos, mainly through control technology such as CAC、Shaping and Scheduling to provide the service guarantees for user requirements.Home gateway is the network equipment that connect between the family internal information and external information, and is the nearest equipment from the user, so testing the ATMQos for home gateway is particularly important. Meanwhile, because currently the manual testing exits a variety of defects, automation test is an inevitable trend, but how to achieve automation test is still a relatively controversial topic.This paper mainly includes the following aspects:firstly, introduces the research background and significance and home gateway related technology, briefly overview ATM technology, Qos technology and ATMQos technology; secondly, discusses the operational principle of the CAC、Shaping and Scheduling control technology in detail, and based on the in-depth understanding, discusses the test idea and design test case, followed by a brief introduction of procedure for the manual test, and a detailed analysis of the shortcoming of manual test; thirdly, for the shortcoming that manual test exists, discusses how to introduce the automation test and how to achieve automation test scripts of ATMQos; at last, this paper verifies the automation test scripts can run normally to play its due role. |
