At present, the management of teaching and laboratorial equipments in College of Resource and Environment (CRE) in Northeast Agricultural University (NEAU) is still depend on manual statistics and paper archives management. In order to optimize the equipment management system, college has modified the organizational structure of equipment management and completed the equipment management system. However, this human relied and paper file depended equipment managing system still has many defects, including disabled real-time synchronal data processing, disabled remote and multiple query, complex manipulation, and low safety. Also, this system wastes lots of manpower, resources, and time. How to effectively manage the teaching and experimental equipments has become an urgent problem.In present study, we analyzed the progresses of equipment management both in home and abroad, combined the existing network platforms in other Colleges to redesign a new equipment management system for CRE of NEAU. In order to facilitate users accessing the system, data was stored in a stable and efficient database. Therefore, this database can be used as the data source for providing data service, which also enable the manager efficiently and conveniently maintain, manipulate and edit the data.We analyzed, designed and described the program for the database in the software engineering style. Based on the high cohesion and low coupling principle of software engineering, the program was consisted of several relatively independent modules and adopted an object-oriented style program language to make the program design and development more clear and simple and to enhance the expandability and reusability of the program.Finally, a new equipment management system was accomplished and applied successfully. Using this system, the teaching and experimental equipments were managed systematically and scientifically. This system also solved the problems of CRE of NEAU in teaching equipment management, decreased the staff stress, increased work efficiency and reduced working cost.
