Informatization is the trend of social and economic development in the world, and it is also the main factor to promote the modernization of the armed forces. In the past, there are many disadvantages in the management of materials and equipment, which led to the phenomenon of chaos, lack of accuracy, low efficiency and so on. The use of efficient equipment information management is an urgent problem to be solved by the armed forces. Firstly, this paper expounds the importance and urgency of the material and equipment management system from the background of the project. Then, from the perspective of project business, not only discussed the Armed Forces Department original materials and equipment management business process, and according to the actual situation of the armed forces of the original business process optimization, are presented with UML activity diagram. Then the materials and equipment management system function analysis, case analysis on the seven functional modules of materials and equipment procurement, warehousing, materials and equipment supplies and equipment repair, supplies and equipment, supplies and equipment distribution, query materials and equipment library, system management, gives a detailed UML use case diagram and description, and the function of the system package diagram analysis. In the data analysis part, firstly, the system and the sub class diagram of the system are drawn, the relationship between the control class and the entity class is analyzed, and the physical structure and logical structure of the system data are given. Finally, the work of this paper is summarized and the problems that have not been solved in the paper are discussed, and the future work is prospected.
