With the development of two-track teaching mode and the electronic dual-plate teaching platform, the dual-split screen device has been widely used because it can easily support various display models. What’s more, it has come to applied in various resources display field. From the actual application needs, the article launchs the dual-split screen device design study, puts forward the overall design of the framework as well as specific implementations. The main work of this paper is as follows:This paper presents the design frame of the dual-split screen device. The frame is divided into three main parts. The first part is the realization of WINDOWS operating system on dual split screen for identification and display control information communication, which is the main work of the USB module. To complete the specific design, the dual-split screen device is designed into a USB monitor control class.The second part is the realization of video display information communications. The task is undertaken by USB display device control function module, the main controller of which is a FPGA chip. The main duty of the FPGA chip is the configuration of the A/D and D/A chips, and the realization of dividing the display into two as well as the convey of EDID data with the host through the USB interface. The third part is the application and test software design.The video display information is conveyed through the VGA interface, while the monitor control information is through the USB interface.The dual-split screen device is a USB display device, which is the key point.The specific design of the dual-split screen device includes the design of the hardware circuit, the USB module of the driver software, firmware and the application software. Besides, the design of hardware circuit is on Cadence Allegro16.3design platform, the USB module firmware is EZ-USB control panel provided by Cypress and Keil C51software, device driver and application software use make Microsoft Visual Studio2010and WDK, FPGA is developed using Quartus Ⅱsoftware.
