With the fast development of electronic information technology and embedded technology, the network has become an indispensable part in people’s daily life, small embedded equipment communicates with internet becoming more and more important.This paper introduces the advantages of the embedded system and development direction of the ethernet technology, put forward the necessary combination between embedded system and the network. Analaze the background of embedded Ethernet technology and the development present situation of both at domestic and abroad, points out the significance of the subject researsh.Embedded terminal system access to the network mainly have three solution, using a specialized network processing chip, micro processor running embedded operating system and MCU embedded TCP/IP protocol stack. Each methord has its advantages and disadvantages in the three solutions, I choose the methord that the single chip embedded TCP/IP protocol stack as this design scheme.In this paper we choose the TI company’s MSP430F5438microcontroller which has high performance as principal controller, the microchip company’s ENC28J60Ethernet chips as slave controller realize the design and development of embedded network terminal. This paper mainly has two parts include the design of software and hardware, the hardware mainly includes the design of power circuit, the design of watchdog circuit, the design of the serial port circuit and the network interface circuit between microcomputer controller and single-chip microcomputer circuit.The software mainly includes the design of watchdog program, writing Ethernet controller driver and cutting the TCP/IP protocol. At the basis of the UDP I realize the Modbus agreement.This design used MSP430F5438single chip computer as master controller, Ethernet control chip ENC28J60through network transformer extended out a RJ45interface realizing communicate with local LAN. At last I put the cutting and suitable for microcomputer’s UIP protocol via emulator in the falsh of then cut out of single chip.Based on this I complete the function that through the web browse remote terminal information.Analysing the application layer protocol, in the microcontroller Flash memory we realize the Modbus protocol. The system through the sampling circuit can collect the data, using a serial port sent the data to system’s internal storage. At the same time, the host far away can derectly realize to sent command to network terminal. System can realize test data in the place faraway and remote control the field equipment, operate easily and use widely. Along with the embedded technology and network development integration, this paper completes that the embedded network technology applicateing in industrial control and remote monitoring field has important significance.
