Virtual reality modeling language is for the rise of3D modeling languagefor the Web in recent years. The real world or the fictional world scene modelis can be build by means of the VRML. VRML is widely used in3D interactivewebsite production application. VRML creates a virtual, vivid and lifelikescene. VRML can contact with customers,and VRML is widely used for thefar-operation, planning and design, scientific visualization, education andentertainment, etc. On the basis of the practical work, landmark building ofHarbin airport is modeled and merged by means of VRML. the airport buildingsis shown in the view By three dimensional form, and the office buildings, thesurrounding environment can be find in the view scene. and the true internalstructure description, so that passengers can the convenient, quick andintuitive understanding of the airport infrastructure, convenience forpassengers to travel.Firstly, the concept of virtual reality technology, basic elements,realization, research situation and other content in this paper is introduced;And then the basic rules of VRML language, including syntax structure,operation mechanism, basic principle is introduced and VRML method is usedon the3D model. And then this paper focuses on the show floor and officebuilding of virtual modeling of the overall design and realization.According to the characteristics of the different building, this paper tooka different approach to design the model. In the virtual modeling of largebuildings, the overall design method, the previously defined the scale of thefloors to achieve a better macro and integrity effect; In the modeling ofsmall building virtual, the modular design method is adapted details to make the model be more careful and lifelike; In the special model design aspect,the third party tools such as tapping in extrusion node, the index rally pointand face o get a better effect.In the realization virtual modeling of Harbin airport construction, VRMLeditor (VrmlPad), visual editing software Cosmo Worlds and3D modelingsoftware--3DMAX combined to get a higher developed efficiency and theoptimization code. In the practical implementation of airport building, byusing the flexible virtual reality in VRML language in background node. Thedesign and development the coordinate transform node, group nodes, perspectivenode, face node, reset the node, reuse node, dynamic interpolation device node,and the time sensor node, interact node, lighting node, events and router,through the inside each subroutine calls attempt, realize the modular andmodular design, the virtual3D scene at the airport is more fresh, vivid andlifelike.In this paper the VRML is applied in Harbin airport virtual modelcompletely, virtual model and the display the Harbin airport style realisticand lively, more comprehensive. As the website of Harbin airport multimediapropaganda material, the virtual model can make customer from all over theworld through in the internet to view Harbin airport infrastructure andfeelings from each azimuth of Harbin airport, and this paper achieve theexpected design goal, obtained a better application effects.
