With the rapid development of the Internet of Things, people put forward higherrequirements on the identification and management of the target object. As the Internet ofThings develops towards digitalitization, intelligentization, visualization gradually. Targetidentification and location, which are parts of the Internet of Things applications, greatelycontributes to enhancing the overall level of the Internet of Things.therefore, targetidentification and location have become research topics of great importance in the Internet ofThings applications. The development of the Internet of Things is badly in need of introducing hi-tech suppor. This subject proposes a method that intrgrates WIFI,Radio-frequency identification(RFID)and Global Positioning System(GPS) technology in the embedded system. The method canbe applied to digitalize the specific attribute informationand geographical position of thetarget, and then transmit the digitalized information to the management center with digitalcommunication technology. The informationalized management for target object will becompleted in the management center. The application background is the logistics management for container,Containersthemselves.corresponding to the system target, carry no digital information.when electronictags are installed, data on the container can be read and written. The tags record of cargo、logistics and safety information during transport. The containers can be identified by readingthe tags information through RFID,obtain the location information of the containers throughGPS,write the location information and cargo security status information into the electronictags, and send the identificaton and location information to the management center throughWIFI.Thus container in circulation will be identified and located. Which helps improve thetransparency of the container logistics process.A systematic plan has designed on the basis offunctional requirements. The deasibility analysis indicates the main technical difficulties ofthe system and researches information acquisition and storage. The system is mainly designed to prepare hardware platform and develop softwares. Thehardware design includes three major procedures as follows: the processor and fundamentalperipheral circuit; the designation design, the design for functional modules such as RFID,GPS and WIFI;and the printed circuit board production and debugging.meanwhile, thesoftware design is mainly composed of the driver part and the Application part. On the onehand, the driver part contains programming and transplanting on the Linux embeddedplatform. On the other hand, the programming of Application part includes reading and writing of the target tag information, the accquisition of the location information by GPS; thetransmission of target information by WIFI and the information output and display. Thesoftware programming also includes the transplanting of the embedded SQlite and adding thefunction of statistic record and baidu map location in the Application software. Moreover, software on the upper PC is also programmed for testing the WIFI transmission. Finally functional test and performance test are carried out for the system, and thesystematic reliability and stability are verified. The results show that this system can be wellapplied in container management, and obtain expected effects.
