| With the rapid development of wireless technology, news media should make their business connected to mobile technique. In order to provide consumers with convenient and fast wireless information service, traditional media should build mobile-oriented information service platform to make their service more competitive.The main work includes:Based on the requirement of making news information system mobile-oriented, the system is divided into data server and client application. Client application is the news terminal application, which gets JSON-formatted data from the data server through HTTP protocol. The data server effectively reduces the time to get the news information and it’s convenient for rebuilding the client application to meet different consumers’ needs.Based on the open source platform PhoneGap and Mobile Web technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, the thesis proposes a hybrid development pattern for constructing news terminal application, which combines the advantages of the web and native applications to display the web pages on the multiple mobile platforms. By the powerful graphic display, convenient off-line storage and cross-platform of HTML5, the news terminal applications can real-time update news information and run on multiple platforms.Based on analyzing business process of the news system, the thesis proceeds with requirement analysis and modeling, and designs news information system and graphical user interface of the client application. Based on PhoneGap platform and using HTML5, CSS3and jQuery, a news information system is built which can provide various, real-time and accurate news service. The system is optimized by the functional and performance testing. The mobile news information platform has been issued online by Thomson Reuters and popularized by many countries and districts to provide large amount of mobile news. |
