With the rapid popularization of the network and the development of the internet technology applications, the website has become an important means of business and government to promote and publicize them. Enterprises and institutions made more demands for the management of content such as the digital resource management and the sharing of resource. Traditional information systems are difficult to cope with the diversity of information. How to construct the website to which can effectively manage and utilize semi-structured and unstructured information is become very important and urgent. Based on the market demand, content management systems have emerged. Professional content management system is not only being able to manage a huge mount of background data and information for effective management and use of semi-structured and unstructured information, but also to regulate the resource management and promote the development of enterprise.This paper described the content management which includes the background of the content management system, the current status and development of it. Discussed the features and advantages of content manage system and compared with the traditional site construction. Introduced the technologies such as XML, template technology which related to how to implement a website by using the CMS. Followed analyze the need modules of the website and the function of each module. The users are divided into three roles which have different permission. Installed the SiteFactory content management system and using it to establish a website which includes article and video and so on. Configured the user permissions and based on using load balance to optimize the system functions and improve the access speed and role control to improve the security of the site.
