With substantial use of single-phase power electronic equipment, the influence of single-phase equipment on the power grid has become increasingly prominent, harmonics damage is more and more serious, nowadays the research for active power filter mainly concentrate in three-phases active power filter at home and abroad, research for single-phase of active power filter is not deep and wide enough.In the paper, it is firstly reviewed that development present situation of domestic and international harmonics suppression techniques as well as the principle and applications of active power filter; Secondly, aiming at problems that the calculation for traditional harmonics detection method is complex and real-time quality is not good, the modified single-phase harmonics current test method is put forward, and by selection and optimization for low pass filter, it is ultimately proved that dipole filter type using Butterworth low pass filter and mean filter in series can better meet requirements for real-time and accuracy of harmonics detection, through the programming, the modified single-phase harmonics current method is simulated and the simulation results show that the improved method of single-phase harmonics current is valid; Finally in SIMULINK environment, active power filter of single-phase parallel type model is based on the improved detection method of single-phase harmonics current and timing control, and it is simulated under the condition of load mutations, the simulation results show that filter performance of active power filter of the single-phase parallel type is good and it meet the requirement of accuracy and real-time quality.The simulation results can prove that single-phase parallel active power filter put forward in the paper has a certain reference value.
