Video on Demand VoD is a hot topic in recent years research.VoD supporting interactive operation better the passive traditional information service.lt is easy to operate and convenient to fetch so it becoming the main way of streaming delivery in recently years.However,growing customer and vast amounts of multimedia data bring a great challenge to VoD service.As the user continues to increase, more and more cost on video servers will be invested by video server provider,So how to provide steady and continuous service with low cost has became a hot research topic in current study.This paper analyzes the popular technology-cloud computing.Cloud computing can provided large-scale computing resources and reliable service to the users, so it has the characteristics of reliability, high storage capacity and processing power and so on.In VoD system,when users’mutual sharing can not support enough capacity for requests due to user’s access time locality,dynamic behaviors and other Internet applications.the scalability of system is threatened.if deploy servers it will bring high cost. Therefore, this article presents a fusion of the two hybrid architecture which using the advantages of cloud services to assist P2P on-demand service.This paper analysis the composition of the hybrid architecture in detail and the parallel processing and fault tolerance mechanisms on video in the hybrid architecture.This paper also analysis how the users choice of cloud server in the hybrid architecture.In the Mixing architecture, due to the characteristics of video on demand, usually the sum of the hot files in a cloud service can not meet the hot file which the users access.So we need these cloud servers which has hot files provide the video segment at to users the same time.How to select cloud servers becomes a problem.This paper analyzes the current server selection way and coupled with the user’s ability to upload in the P2P mode and server memory to model.And then through simulation experiments verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.Finally,summarize and make a clear objective about the next step of studying this hybrid model.
