Video transmission architecture is a popular research topic in the last ten years, and it provides interactive media services which can largely change the passive role people played in the traditional data services. thus gaining more and more users of all ages and become the main way of transmission of multimedia content. At the same time, P2P video streaming architecture advanced in resource utilization, scalability advantages which can make it become the main form of Internet video streaming architecture. However its lacking of upload bandwidth both in video source and video transmission structures will become the bottleneck of user QoS. If the cloud service architecture combining P2P video streaming, it will be able to play the advantages of cloud services to ensure customer service quality.This thesis presents C-P2P, a new hybrid video stream transmission architecture which incorporates cloud services into P2P video stream transmission architecture. The C-P2P combines the advantages of cloud services to ensure the effectiveness and quality of the video transmission. C-P2P dynamically hires assistant nodes from the cloud service provider, which is divided into active and passive nodes. The former is renting a virtual machine from cloud service running P2P protocol and participating in data distribution,it is actively and quickly pushing video streaming to the user nodes. The latter is a simple cloud services storage server, which acts as a last protection of response passively to users’video data requests. Combination of active and passive nodes can guarantee the achievement of predefined QoS targets. Thus C-P2P can be classified as an optimization modeling problems, limitations are predefined QoS level, the goal is minimizing the total economic cost of hiring services from the cloud resources and the key issue is to adjust the number of active nodes and passive nodes balance.In this thesis, we proceeded C-P2P modeled design, performance analysis and instance validation. Through a variety of simulation experiments, it shows that the new hybrid video streaming transmission architecture proposed in this paper effectively maintain a low average user waiting time, improves the user experience performance while minimizes system cost of renting cloud services.
